Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a tendency to wonder about things. For me, just the mere act of wondering would often lead to a better understanding of the world around me. Then there were those other times, where my curiosity would leave myself and others around me in a state of bewilderment.
For instance, I wonder what my poor parents thought as they eagerly laid their eyes on the adjacent photograph. I like to think they were thinking pure thoughts of joy, but in all honesty they probably were thinking that this is the hallmark of a “mad man”. For what sane individual would ever think, let alone cut a wad of gum out of their hair with a pair of scissors, the day before class pictures. Yet as is often the case, there are always exceptions to the rule; and I’m sure many would attest to a naturally inquisitive boy by the name of Eric Good as being one of them. It is this deviant behavior, or rather childlike sense of wonder that I believe ultimately shapes, for better or worse, my view of the world and my consequent photographic interpretations of it.
With that said, please feel free to peruse through my photographs for a brief glimpse of the world through my eyes... and camera. Hopefully you’ll be just as fascinated as me with what can result from just a little wonder.
